Magazine Review

Graphic Design Heroes
John Malinoski by Erik Brandt

This article is by a student of John Malinoski who describes his interview experience and his education in art and graphics.
'Who are we without our teachers?'
This article is a contribution to a man whom Erik Brandt thought to be 'a true master' and a man who stuck by him 'the weitdo' of the class and who helped him become who he is.
'This was the playful science of form-making that i learned from John- always see each idea through, no matter how impossible! Always judge by what has shape, form, what is! Never judge an idea, never critique or give false weight to some vague explanation. Always speak through your work.'
This article gives the true feelings of what Erik thinks of John and he describes fully how he feels about Erik and says he is a true hero.
I like the article because of how descriptive he is of his feelings about Erik. He also includes some pieces of Graphic Design that have been created for university posters and Carnivals. I have included some of my favourite ones below. I have picked these because I like the use of words in graphic design.
